Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Geetika:
Could you please talk us through your background and your journey?
As a Soft Skills Trainer and Etiquette Coach, I’m passionate about helping people become the best versions of themselves—both personally and professionally.
I completed my schooling at St. Mary’s Convent, Nainital, and earned a degree in Interior Design from the University of Delhi. After working for six years in the design industry, I chose to take a break to focus on my family. Now that my children are grown, I’ve returned to pursue my true calling—empowering individuals to communicate with confidence, carry themselves with poise, and create meaningful personal and professional growth.
My mission is to make soft skills and etiquette accessible, relevant, and transformative for modern professionals. I aspire to become a renowned trainer and speaker, sharing stages globally and collaborating with businesses to build confident, empathetic, and high-performing teams.
How did you discover your passion?
More than choosing this path, I believe my passion found me. I’ve always been fascinated by how people interact, communicate, and carry themselves. Over time, I realised that even small changes in our communication, posture, and behaviour can completely transform how others perceive us.
This understanding deepened when I started mentoring friends and family, sharing simple yet powerful tips on confidence and presence—and witnessing their transformation firsthand. Seeing their self-assurance grow was the moment I knew: this is what I’m meant to do.
That realisation turned into a mission—to help others present their best selves with poise, confidence, and authenticity. From a young age, I cared deeply about good manners, posture, and the subtle elegance that comes from treating others with respect. Over the years, I’ve come to appreciate that these “small things” are, in fact, what make the biggest difference in how we look, feel, and connect with others.
That’s what fuels my passion for soft skills and etiquette—helping people feel good about who they are on the inside and express it beautifully on the outside.
Despite the challenges, what keeps you going when things get tough?
What keeps me going is the belief that every obstacle is preparing me for something greater. Whenever challenges arise, I remind myself of my core motivation—to make a difference in people’s lives by helping them build self-esteem, confidence, and presence.
It inspires me deeply to witness even the smallest improvement in someone I’ve trained—the moment their posture straightens, their voice steadies, or their smile reflects newfound confidence. Those moments reaffirm why I chose this path.
Through it all, I stay grounded by the unwavering support of my family and my faith in consistency and growth. They remind me that progress, no matter how gradual, always leads to transformation.
What are the three most important lessons you have learned in your life?
Over the years, I’ve learned three simple yet powerful lessons that continue to guide me:
First, consistency is always the best course of action—because small, steady efforts eventually lead to meaningful transformation.
Second, kindness and grace never go out of style; the way you behave truly defines who you are.
And third, every stage of life offers an opportunity to rediscover yourself and pursue something worthwhile. It’s never too late to begin again.
In your opinion, what are the keys to success?
I believe that grace, self-belief, and consistency are the true keys to success. To grow meaningfully, one must stay consistent in their efforts, trust themselves even when things don’t go as planned, and face both success and failure with poise.
I also believe in the power of humility and lifelong learning—because real success isn’t measured only by achievements, but by the kind of person you become along the way.
What advice would you give students and young professionals who want to have a successful career?
To young professionals and students, I would say this: believe in yourself and stay consistent. Success takes time, but every small effort counts. Keep learning, stay open to feedback, and continually refine your communication and presentation skills—they are powerful tools that will boost your confidence and help you stand out.
Above all, carry yourself with dignity and humility. Skills may open doors, but it’s your behaviour and attitude that will help you stay there and truly thrive.
Last but not least, what about your journey makes it satisfying/exciting?
What gives my journey its true meaning is seeing the positive impact of my work. It’s deeply rewarding to help others become more self-assured, improve their communication skills, and carry themselves with confidence and grace.
Every day brings a new challenge, a new person to mentor, and a new opportunity to grow—both for them and for me. This journey is profoundly fulfilling because I get to witness transformation in real time—seeing someone’s confidence bloom and knowing I’ve played a part in that growth is the greatest reward of all.
